About

Adam Douglas Croft | BSc Hons Interior Design

My personal work celebrates the beauty of good quality local materials, minimal forms and their interplay with light and shadow to create harmonious, sophisticated and visually impressive spaces.

Working with a sincere and sensitive attitude to both the client’s needs and vision, and the opportunities and limitations a site presents, I aim to make the most of any given design situation.

Conscious of the impact of every line and shape I draw, it is of paramount importance to me to not do things for the sake of doing them.

A considered approach to not only achieving a concept that satisfies the client’s needs but also one that is sympathetic to the existing design and what the client holds dear to them. A lack of designer arrogance, instead, conscious, considered and thoughtful is my design philosophy.

This philosophy can also be seen in the work I have produced for my current employer; GroupGSA.

Prior to this new venture, I was a dedicated team player at France Vietnam Architecture and D&P Associates where I gained project manager level in fewer years of experience than any other FVA Project Manager, and successfully worked as the lead designer and project manager on both national and international projects.

Before moving overseas, at Sparcstudio, London, I excelled beyond my years of experience and mid-weight designer position. The projects I worked on received much praise from many global industry leaders such as Conde Nast Johansens, Small Luxury Hotel Awards, Mrs & Mrs Smith Award, FX Awards and the European Hotel Design Awards. It also gave me the opportunity to work closely with brands such as David Lloyd Leisure, AB Hotels, Reebok Sports Club, Center Parcs, Anchor and Places for People.
